The new Knitted Merino wool super soft blanket collection by Nathalie du Pasquier and George Sowden x ZigZagZurich is an ode to their ongoing exploration between objects and the spaces in which they are installed. In collaboration with one of Italy’s leading knitting ateliers, we created these ultra-fine knitted merino wool blankets using sustainable/traceable Italian wool yarns used by the worlds leading fashion labels. This limited edition series can be used as blankets, bedspreads or oversized ponchos. Each blanket measures 180 x 200cm.
The unique designs of Nathalie Du Pasquier and George Sowden are transformed into high-definition tubular knitting using ultra-fine merino wool yarns. Our unique development of these artist blankets gives your home something unique to add and support the artists directly with every product purchased.
Nathalie Du Pasquier and George Sowden are two internationally recognized designers, who came to the attention of the public as founding members of Memphis, the Italian group that changed the idea of design forever with the first Memphis exhibition in Milano, in September 1981. The work of Du Pasquier and Sowden was fundamental to the renewal of interest in decoration and their designs have become an iconic documentation of change from the early ’80s until today. ZigZagZurich is delighted to announce and produce this new collection.
